Residential building contractor continuing education

Information for licensees

Continuing education courses are required to impart appropriate and related knowledge in the regulated industries for which approval is requested. Licensees must complete the statutory requirements for the number of hours of education, through instruction in courses or seminars that have received prior approval from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

A licensee who completes a course that has not received prior approval by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, may submit an individual course approval application, all course materials and the appropriate fee to request a review of the course materials. Approval may be granted upon a determination that the course materials conform to the statutory requirements for course approval.
